School Site Council (SSC)


  • Ensure that schools identify and implement effective curriculum and instructional practices as well as make categorical funding decisions to assist the schools in meeting the goals for student achievement.
  • School Site Councils work with school staffs and principals to revise each school’s Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), a document that all schools must submit to the Board of Education for approval each year.
  • Members include, principal, teachers, and parents.
